We are hiring: Associate Professorship in (normative) Philosophy of Law

The Department of Foundation and Methods of Law in the Maastricht University Faculty of Law invites applications for an appointment as an Associate Professor (‘Universitair Hoofddocent’) in Philosophy of Law.

To complement the competencies and academic interests of the current staff, we are looking for candidates with research interests and teaching experience in normative philosophy of law. Candidates with expertise at the intersection of (legal) philosophy and EU law and/or the philosophy of (ECHR) fundamental rights are particularly encouraged to apply.

The starting date is 1 August 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. This is a full-time position, consisting of 65% teaching time and 35% research time. The initial contract is for 18 months, followed by a permanent contract subject to satisfactory performance. Deadline: 16 April.
